The Nightreign playtest is now in full swing, and sadly I am a PC gamer so I’m not taking part. However, plenty of you are and we’re now seeing some proper footage.
This video below is excellent because it takes you right through from start to finish, and thankfully, there’s no commentary. Wylder, Guardian, and Duchess take part in this run, which takes around 40 minutes to complete after defeating the final boss, which in this run was Gladius, Beast of Night.
There’s such a marked difference in how to approach Nightreign compared to the main game. You need to be fast and keep moving, the days feel like they whizz by.
I have seen some comments from people wondering about the map. Yes, there is one map, and the difference between each playthrough is it’s the landmarks on the map that change. Here’s an example of the map from a playthrough.
